Would the Aqua-Pure AP 811 Whole House Filter be compatible with well water?

Pleated filters can only be used with chlorinated water. If your water
is not chlorinated, the pleated filters may break down depending on what
is in your water now or in the future. Some people on well water do use
pleated filters and they work fine. However, the manufacturer does warn they could break down now or in the future, so well water users are advised to use the Polypropylene sediment filters.
