Default Teledyne Water Pik/Instapure Water filter model IF20

I have a Teledyne Water Pik/Instapure Waterfilters model IF20 replacement filter sez IR20W, IR25. The filter is used when water enters my motorhome. Before going into lines or the holding tanks, when in bypass position, no leakage, on position water leaks around the filter housing. Badly. The filter is a tightly woven string filter. It doesn't look the same as what I see on your webpage. Do I have a filter that is not for this unit? Please advise.

If you had the wrong filter, it would leak all the time. The problem is in the valve head, and it's probably shot. You will need a new filter housing. Something like this: Pentek 150164 #10 Standard VIH Whole House Water Filter Housing

Thank you,
