Default Lake Water Water Filtration- low pressure

I have a place on Moosehead Lake in Maine. Water is via a shallow well jet pump set at 10lb cut- in and 30lb cut-out with a 40 gallon bladder pressure tank. I want to put a sediment filter after the pressure tank to keep the turbidity out of the washer and sink. The water is not for drinking. The system is powered by wind and solar so I want to keep pump runs fairly short.

Question: Which sediment filter will function well at low pressure?

Is there any rerason you can't make your pressure switch go to, say, 30/50, or 25/45? With that low of a setting, you might fond that filters will cause too much pressure lose and either fill up right and cut off your water or the micron rating would have to be large enough to not be as effective as you might want.

Try a graduated approach. Use two filters, one a 50-micron screen and then a 20 micron pleated filter. These you can wash out and reuse a number of times.

When you draw water into a pot, do you see sediment or discoloration?
