Default Fibrallated Poly String vs. Regular Poly String

Could you please explain fibrallated poly string vs regular poly string.Why,when,where?(wp5bb97p vs wpx5bb97p.) Thank you!

We sell the WP series and the WPX series in case quantities. They are both located here:

WP5BB97P water filter and Ametek WP5BB97P string wound sediment water filters for whole house housings

WPX5BB97P water filter and Ametek WPX5BB97P string wound sediment water filters for Big Blue whole house housings

The WPX have bacteria & chemical resistance whereas the regular WP don't. The literature for the WPX also says they minimize extractables.
