Default clear Filterite housing

I have a clear 'filterite' housing that normally takes ~10". It seems that many of the filters that I buy are just slightly too long and they get crushed when I screw it tight. Are there 2 sizes to the standard 10" filter and if so, am I ordering the correct size for my Filterite? If not, what do you recommend, I'm really only looking for course filtering to keep sediment out of my plumbing fixtures.

The standard 10" filters do come in slightly different lengths. For most systems, it doesn't matter. It sounds like your system works a little better with the 9-3/4" length. Most manufactures make the 9-7/8" length.

The CW-50 that you ordered is 9-7/8" L x 2-1/4" W.

The P25 is 9-3/4" L x 2-3/8" W so it's a little shorter than the CW-50. It is a 25 micron popypropylene filter.

There isn't a 50 micron polypropylene option in the 9-3/4" length. There is the R50 that is 9-3/4" but it has end caps so it wouldn't be able to be scrunched down like the polypropylene filters.
