Kinetico Water Softner Replacement Filter

I'm looking for a replacement filter for my Kinetico water softner. The cartridge I have is approx. 2 5/8 x 9 3/4. On the rim it says "Waterbetter"

Any of the filters at that link will work for you, but I can direct you to a specific one if you give me a bit more information. Are you on well water, or municipal? Is this just a sediment filter, pre-softener, or is it a carbon filter?

The filter is for well water and it has no carbon. It has pleates and I've found ones that are 2 3/4 x 9 3/4 but the one that I have is 2 5/8 x 9 3/4. Will that size work ok ?

What micron rating are you considering? What is the condition of the old filter that was removed? How long did it last? Were there odors coming from the water due to old filter use?
