Default Culligan Water Softener System

Our well water smells foul and taste foul. My clothes have all changed color. Does the Culligan Water softener that we have fix this problem or should there be another water softener sysytem installed by Culligan? Could it be that this Softener system that I rent from Culligan need fixing? Can someone who is trained in this field test the water? and fix the system?

You may need to contact your local Culligan to see if your softener needs servicing.
In addition to a softener, it is a good idea to have a whole house water filtration system that also reduces sediment and taste and odor.

Here is an example system:
http://www.waterfilters.net/Pentek-BBFS-22-Water-Filtration-System_p_0-586.html - This is a two housing whole house system. Then, you need to purchase filters that go inside the whole house system.
http://www.waterfilters.net/culligan/wholehouse/replacement_filters/DGD-5005-20.htm - This is a good first filter that reduces sediment out of your water before it reaches your water softener, appliances, and shower water. This will help preserve your water softener and your appliances.
http://www.waterfilters.net/culligan/wholehouse/replacement_filters/GAC-20BB.htm - This is a good second filter that reduces chlorine and bad tastes and odors.

Thank you,
