Default inline water filter for houseboat under sink

I'm interested in purchasing an in-line water filter for our houseboat. We have fresh water in a tank, but it doesn't taste very good so we thought we'd try this. I've been looking at the Culligan EZ-4 but am curious how it's installed. Does it have to be behind the faucet (we have a window there), or can it be mounted under the sink? I can't seem to find a picture of how it looks installed.

The US-EZ-4 is typically installed under the sink. This system is also a very good option: Watts WQCFU-D-KIT Dual Drinking Water System and Watts WQCFU-D-KIT Dual Drinking Water System with Kwik-Change Cartridges.

Thank you,
