Water Filters made Easy At![]() |

| I have been trying to get the Culligan IC-750 I bought from you installed and I'm having problems. I tried nylon tubing with compression fittings first and they leaked at the filter housing. Then the nylon blew out of the fitting entirely! Then I got some braided hose with rubber o-ring fittings and tried that. Same problem, leaking at the plastic male fittings on the filter housing. I tried just snugging them down as well as really tightening. No luck. So I'm wondering if the problem is that the filter housing is plastic. I have pretty high water pressure. Is there a filter housing available that is metal? The IC-750 with the IC-1000 filter did a great job of filtering out the off tastes in my water, so I'd like to stay with that level of filtering. Thanks! -Jon |

| I have not heard of the problem you are referencing. You must have very high pressure. Here are some stainless steel systems that will hold up to higher pressures like what you are facing. Stainless Steel Commercial Water Filter Systems from Pentek ST Series Housings You could put a D-40 filter in the 10 inch long system. (Culligan D-40 replacement filter and Culligan D40 under sink water filter) The D-40 will give you very good filtration, which is similar filtration to what you would get from the IC-1000. I hope this is helpful. |
