| There are two under sink filter systems you appear to recommend: the Pentek US-1500 for $165 and the Culligan US-EZ4 for $111. Both appear to process 500 gallons before needing changing. So, other than cost, what's the difference? |

| Culligan just released the US-EZ-4 system. One of their purposes in producing the EZ line of systems was to make them more affordable for people. The US-1500 has two stages so there is a little more contact time going through two stages of filtration. http://www.waterfilters.net http://www.waterfilters.net Reverse Osmosis Systems are even better than under sink systems. RO systems have an RO membrane that reduces dissolved solids such as nitrates, barium, sodium, etc. Regular filters cannot reduce dissolved contaminants like this. However, RO systems are more expensive because of this RO membrane. Here are the 2 RO systems that we recommend because of the easy change filter cartridges. http://www.waterfilters.net http://www.waterfilters.net Let me know if you have any other questions on these products or the technology. |
