Default Sand Particles

In The Past I've Ordered P5-20, And S1-20 Filters
The Water Used Is In A Concrete Holding Tank Under Ground And Being The Source Is Ground Water It Has Some Sand Particles.the Set-up I Have Is That The Water Goes Thru The S1-20 Filter First Than Thru The P5-20 Filter And Into The Home. The Filters Have Worked And Last Ok When I Can Go To The Home And Change The Filters At Least Twice A Year (this Is A Vacation Home, And We Spend About One Month Each Time, Inbetween There No One Living There) My Question Is That Is There A Filter That Would Last Longer Than S1-20 Without The Cellulose Falling Apart? I Looked At He P25-20, Is This A Recommended Option?

Default Re: Sand Particles

Pleated filters such as the S1-20 aren't recommended for non-chlorinated water because the cellulose does fall apart depending on what is in the water.

The P5-20 and P25-20 polypropylene filters are recommended for non-chlorinated water. The P25-20 would be a much better option and is almost the same micron rating.
