Default Resin Filter vs Sulfate

I need to know if the Resin Filter can be be used with a water that has 500 ppm of sulfate. I also need to know if its going to eliminate minimum quantities of Nitrate and Nitrite? Do you have an idea of much time is going to last with a water like this?

Default Re: Resin Filter vs Sulfate

I may have found the resin filter you were talking about. If you were asking about the Pentek BBF1-20MB here is what I know. With water as you described (500 ppm sulfate and some nitrate) this filter will only last for about 15 gallons. Obviously if the water has a lower ppm the filter will last longer. It will remove small amounts of Nitrate and Nitrite.

Thank you,
