Default Rainsoft EC-4

Hello, I’m considering buying a used Rainsoft EC-4. Can you tell me what replacement filters and membranes I’d need, and where I can get price info.?

Default Re: Rainsoft EC-4

From the information I can find, the Rainsoft EC-4 looks like a water softener and not a water filter or a reverse osmosis system. A water softener performs different functions than a whole house filter system or a Reverse Osmosis system.

A reverse osmosis system contains a membrane and is generally located under the kitchen sink. You can find a good one here:

You can get an UltraFiltration System which can be used to filter the whole house and has a replacement membrane:

The BBFS-22 system is a whole house filter system. It doesn't have a membrane but has two filters for filtering sediment before the water softener so it doesn't clog the softener. They are located here:

Thank you,
