Default white residue?

I am on a well with a whole house water filter, a new
water softener and new refrigerator filter I purchased
from your company. I am still having a problem with a
white residue which I presume is iron in the water. It
shows up mostly in ice from the refrigerator ice maker
and when water evaporates in the sink area. Since
installing the refrigerator water filter I no longer
have white floating particles when the ice dissolves
but, I continue to have the mineral buildup in my
drinking glass. Is there a way to eliminate this with
the use of a filter after water goes through the
softener?

Default Re: white residue?

The mineral buildup is most likely from hard particles that got through your water softener somehow. Have you tested the grains per gallon of hardness since you installed your water softener? I wonder if the water softener isn't working properly.

If you have a little hardness even after your water softener, you could get a water softening cartridge.
