Default Ro system in line di filter

Recently I purchased an in line DI filter for my ro system. There was alot of carbon that came out during the flushing process. I am wondering if I may have compromised my DI filter or shortened its life. Your coments would be greatly appreciated.

You will have some carbon that comes out during the flushing process. This is normal. If you had LOTS of carbon (for example, half of the volume of the filter or more) come out, then the filter would be defective and you would need a new one. It sounds like you just got some basic carbon particles in your DI, which should not negatively affect it.

Thank you,
