Default Ge Merlin RO System needing filters replaced

I have the GE Merlin RO system. I'm replacing the filters myself for
the first time. I've bought a full set from you and I've discovered
that the people that installed this did not put in a post filter. Do
I need this and if I do what is the stuff I need to install it into
the existing hoses?

You do not "need" it, but if you use it your water will taste better. How to install it depends entirely on the installation as it is now. You will probably need some water line and of course the filter itself.

Thank you,

A (GAC) carbon post filter is often put on ROs to handle clarity, taste and odor problems, some of which may come from the holding tank. A carbon block can handle additional problems including VOCs, Since the Merlin has no tank, it may not be needed.

An additional housing can be easily set up. It may affect pressure somewhat.
