| Please advise as to which filters are recommended: I have a house in PA that has well water, it's a whole house filtering system, the size is 9.75" x 2.5" filters, with a clear view housing. I want it to trap as much particles and yet have a descent flow. The filter in the system now looks like a carbon model with a wired screen. The water taste fine and has no order. I would like to buy in quantity, so whcih one? |

| Here is a 5 micron sediment filter: P5 Water Filter and Culligan P-5 Sediment Filters for 10 inch Whole House Housings You'll want to stay with a polypropylene filter like this one and not pleated filters for well water. Sediment Filters contain no carbon and do not improve taste and odor. They only reduce sediment. The filter you currently have sounds like a carbon filter such as the following: EPM-10 water filter and Pentek EPM10 carbon water filters 155634 for chlorine reduction - Reduces sediment down to 10 microns and contains carbon for taste and odor reduction EP-10 water filters and Pentek EP10 carbon water filter 155531 for 10 inch whole house housings - Reduces sediment down to 5 microns and contains carbon for taste and odor reduction Any of the above filters will work for your system.
