| I have an Amtek, 20" water filter I'm trying to get the best filter for it. Which is the best one to use, for Well water, with softner, hard water with rust.. I find a P5-20 5 Micron and a P1-20 1 Micron,, for the same price, but which is the better one.. and why ? Please advise, as I'm ready to place an order.. |

| Iron can be difficult to remove from water depending on how much and what type of Iron is present. It is likely you will need more than one housing so you can perform multi-level filtration. Typically you would need a 75 or 100 micron filter followed by a 25 or a 5 micron filter. If you can only accommodate one housing, I would try experimenting with a P25-20 and a P5-20 to see which one does a good enough job without clogging too fast. Thank you, WaterFilters.NET |
