 American Plumber W385-PR vs Manhattan Water = metallic taste I recently installed the American Plumber W385-PR Compact Water Filter Housing. The plumbing supply store sold me 2 5 micron water filters marked W5CIP478. My experience is that the water that comes out of this filter has a metallic taste. I live in Manhattan - NY, NY; maybe it has something to do w/ our water. Is there another filter that fits the same housing? On your website, I saw the Pentek P5-478 Water Filter. Is that a suitable replacement? Any thoughts on why the metallic water taste with the W5CIP478? Our unfiltered tap water tastes better than tap water filtered through the W5CIP478 filter.      |

CBC-5 water filters and Pentek CBC5 carbon filter cartridge 155169 to reduce cysts GAC-5 water filters and Pentek GAC5 carbon filter cartridge 155110 to reduce chlorine taste and odor.
